Cannot Validate Address

Overview

You may encounter the following error when trying to validate an address:
Address is not valid

Address validation can be performed when creating a user, job, or location.

Diagnosis

This issue happens when:

  • You entered an incorrect address (cannot be found on the map).

To confirm if this is the case, open Google Maps and search for the address you have entered; if the building number is incorrect, only the street will be found on the map.

  • You entered the building number in the Apartment/Suite/Building field, which should be entered in the Street field.

Solution

  1. Make sure that the address provided by a customer or business partner is correct - find it on Google Maps:

  2. Copy the exact address details into the form; the building number must be entered in the Street field.

Testing

Click Validate Address. The message Address is valid should be displayed.
Note: If you still cannot validate the address, you can create a location using its latitude and longitude; existing locations can be selected when creating users and jobs.
